Why
The Expo offers an exciting opportunity for teachers, students and parent leaders to showcase their “green” projects, to learn from other schools, and to meet organizations that provide resources for “green” projects . Informational and networking opportunities will be provided throughout the morning. Andrea Falken, US Department of Education Green Ribbon Schools Program, will open the Expo.
What do you need to prepare
This will be a “science fair” type set up so all you need to do is put together a tri-fold highlighting what your team is doing.
If you are in the Eco-School program and/or have a student green team, plan to attend with your student leaders.
Space will be limited so try to have a maximum of 4 people at your table at any one time. NoVA Outside is also asking for submission of two photos representing your work so that you can be part of a regional slide show. All participating schools will get a copy of the show and the contact information for all participants.
NoVA Outside Green School Awards
5 awards for innovation and student involvement will be presented at the end of the morning.
